WEEK 1

Tracing Practice

We learn how to trace these shapes using pen tool.

WEEK 3

Chiaroscuro: Pear 

First, I lowered down the opacity of the image and trace the outline of the pear using pen tool and then divide the strokes so I can fill in colours later.

Then I filled up the pear with colours. 

I then use the knife tool to separate the pear and filled in different colours.

 

I then added the seeds and the flesh of the pear and fill it up with colour.

These are the strokes of my artwork.

Then we needed to make the pear look like a scar. This is the skull photo that we used as reference.

I used the pear that I previously traced and trace the skull.

Then I filled the skull with colours.

Week 4 

Chiaroscuro People

I used the pen tool to trace the person and his shaodow

This is what it looks like without the image.

Then I divided the strokes so I can fill it up with colour later.

I filled him and his shadow with two different colours and added a beige background.

After that, I used a clipping mask to place the watercolour image as his shadow. 

I also tried using a rusty wall as his shadow. Overall, this is a fun exercise.
